The Austin Marriage Project is a series of long-term research studies aimed at understanding how couples grow and change over the course of their relationship. This research is conducted through the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences in the School of Human Ecology at the University of Texas at Austin and is partially funded by the National Science Foundation.
The Austin Marriage Project is designed to identify the factors that help couples create strong and healthy relationships. We recently conducted two studies of newlywed marriage. Please visit our RESULTS page for more information about our findings from these previous studies.
NEW STUDY OPPORTUNITY!
We are currently conducting a new study investigating relationship experiences across the lifespan
We are looking for couples between the ages of 30-45 and 60+ who are either (1) in a new dating relationship or (2) have been married 10+ years. If you meet these criteria, you may be eligible to participate in this research study.
